“Peranan Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit PT Merbau Jaya Indah Raya
Terhadap Perekonomian Masyarakat Dalam Perspektif Ekonomi Islam
(Studi Kasus Desa Wawobende, Kec. Sabulakoa, Kab. Konawe
Selatan)”. Melalui pembimbing Bapak Abdul Wahid Mongkito S. Si.,
M.EI dan Ibu Dra. Beti Mulu M.PD.I.

Kondisi perekonomian masyarakat di Desa Wawobende
bergantung pada hasil perkebunan, salah satunya perkebunan kelapa
sawit PT Merbau Jaya Indah Raya yang ada sejak tahun 2015 dimana
sasaran utamanya adalah meningkatkan ekonomi masyarakat.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peranan perkebunan kelapa
sawit terhadap perekonomian masyarakat di Desa Wawobende, untuk
mengetahui motivasi masyarakat Desa Wawobende dalam bekerja di
perkebunan kelapa sawit, dan mengkaji hal tersebut dalam perspektif
ekonomi Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan
pendekatan studi kasus, yang memungkinkan peneliti untuk
mendapatkan pemahaman mendalam tentang pengalaman dan persepsi
masyarakat setempat. Teknik yang digunakan dalam menentukan
informan adalah purposive sampling. Data diperoleh melalui
wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan
bahwa perkebunan kelapa sawit PT Merbau Jaya Indah Raya memiliki
peranan signifikan dalam perekonomian masyarakat Desa Wawobende.
Perkebunan kelapa sawit menciptakan banyak lapangan kerja,
membantu meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat, berkontribusi dalam
pembangunan jalan dan akses transportasi, serta menyediakan
kebutuhan tempat tinggal bagi karyawan tetap perkebunan kelapa
sawit. Motivasi kerja masyarakat dalam bekerja di perkebunan kelapa
sawit dipengaruhi oleh faktor intrinsik seperti tanggung jawab dan
dukungan dari keluarga, serta faktor ekstrinsik seperti upah yang
didapatkan dan lingkungan kerja yang nyaman. Dari perspektif
ekonomi Islam, peranan perkebunan kelapa sawit PT Merbau Jaya
Indah Raya dinilai sesuai dengan prinsip tauhid, prinsip keadilan, dan

prinsip maslahat, yang semuanya menekankan pada keberlanjutan dan
kesejahteraan masyarakat secara keseluruhan.

Role of PT Merbau Jaya Indah Raya's Oil Palm Plantation on the
Community's Economy in the Perspective of Islamic Economics (Case
Study of Wawobende Village, Sabulakoa District, South Konawe

The economic condition of the community in Wawobende
Village depends on plantation products, one of which is the oil palm
plantation of PT Merbau Jaya Indah Raya which has existed since 2015
where the main goal is to improve the community's economy. This
study aims to find out the role of oil palm plantations in the economy of
the community in Wawobende Village, to find out the motivation of the
people of Wawobende Village in working in oil palm plantations, and
to examine this from the perspective of Islamic economics. This study
uses a qualitative method with a case study approach, which allows
researchers to gain an in-depth understanding of the experiences and
perceptions of the local community. The technique used in determining
informants is purposive sampling. Data were obtained through
interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study
show that PT Merbau Jaya Indah Raya's oil palm plantation has a
significant role in the economy of the Wawobende Village community.
Oil palm plantations create many jobs, help increase people's incomes,
contribute to the construction of roads and transportation access, and
provide housing needs for permanent employees of oil palm
plantations. The community's work motivation in working in oil palm
plantations is influenced by intrinsic factors such as responsibility and
support from family, as well as extrinsic factors such as wages earned
and a comfortable working environment. From the perspective of
Islamic economics, the role of PT Merbau Jaya Indah Raya's oil palm
plantation is considered in accordance with the principles of
monotheism, the principle of justice, and the principle of maslahat, all

of which emphasize the sustainability and welfare of the community as
a whole.
