Abstract

Juharni. NIM. 18010110018. “Analisis Pemahaman Konsep Ditinjau Dari
Gaya Belajar Siswa Kelas VIII MTsN 1 Wakatobi Tahun Ajaran 2021/2022”.
Dibimbing Oleh: Halistin, M.Si. dan Dedyerianto S.Si, M.Si
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) Pemahaman konsep
matematis, (2) Gaya belajar, dan (3) Pemahaman konsep matematis ditunjau
dari gaya belajar siswa kelas VIII MTsN I Wakatobi pada materi teorema
phytagoras. Metode penelitian ini metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif.
Adapun teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan angket, soal,
wawancara dan dokumentasi. Partisipan penelitian 47 siswa kelas VIII A dan B
MTsN 1 Wakatobi. (1) Hasil penelitian menunjukan dari 47 siswa pada tes tertulis
pemahaman konsep matematis terdapat 21 Siswa (25,5 %) nilai sangat baik, 9
Siswa (19 %) nilai cukup, 17 Siswa (36 %) nilai rendah dan tidak ada Siswa yang
memiliki nilai sangat rendah, (2) Hasil dari angket gaya belajar dari 47 siswa
terdapat 28 Siswa (69,6%) dengan gaya belajar visual, 8 Siswa (17%) dengan
gaya belajar auditorial, dan 11 Siswa (23,4%) dengan gaya belajar kinestetik, dan
(3) Hasil dari pemahaman konsep matematis ditinjau dari gaya belajar siswa kelas
VIII MTsN 1 Wakatobi Siswa dengan gaya belajar Visual Subjek V1 dan V2
mampu mengidentifikasi dan membuat contoh serta dapat membuat suatu
perkiraan dan V1 mampu menerjemahkan dan menafsirkan makna simbol,
gambar, sedangkan V2 tidak dapat menyesuaikan simbol yang ada pada soal
nomor 2 dan untuk V1 mampu menerapkan ide matematis sedangkan V2 dapat
menerapkan ide matematis tetapi salah dalam menjumlahkan hasil akhirnya.
Subjek A1 dan A2 mampu mengidentifikasi dan membuat contoh, dapat
menerapkan ide matematis, dapat membuat suatu perkiraan tetapi tidak dapat
menyesuaikan simbol yang ada pada soal nomor 2. Subjek K1 dan K2 mampu
mengidentifikasi dan membuat contoh serta dapat menerapkan ide matematis dan
untuk K1 dan K2 tidak dapat menyesuaikan simbol yang ada pada soal nomor 2
dan K1 dapat membuat suatu perkiraan sedangkan untuk K2 tidak dapat membuat
suatu perkiraan.

Concepts in Terms of the Learning Style of Class VIII Students at MTs
Country 1 Wakatobi for the 2021/2022 Academic Yers”. Guided by: Halistin,
M.Si. dan Dedyerianto S.Si, M.Si
This study aims to describe: (1) understanding of mathematical concepts, (2)
learning styles, and (3) understanding of mathematical concepts based on the
learning styles of class VIII MTsN I Wakatobi students on the Pythagorean
theorem material. This research method is a descriptive method with a qualitative
approach. The data collection techniques in this study used questionnaires,
questions, interviews and documentation. The research participants were 47
students of class VIII A and B of MTsN 1 Wakatobi. (1) The results showed that
from 47 students on the written test of understanding mathematical concepts there
were 21 students (25.5%) very good scores, 9 students (19%) good scores, 17
students (36%) low scores and no students who has a very low score, (2) The
results of the learning style questionnaire of 47 students are 28 students (69.6%)
with visual learning styles, 8 students (17%) with auditory learning styles, and 11
students (23.4%) with a kinesthetic learning style, and (3) The results of
understanding mathematical concepts in terms of the learning styles of class VIII
MTsN 1 Wakatobi students. Students with Visual learning styles Subjects V1 and
V2 are able to identify and make examples and can make an estimate and V1 is
able to translate and interpret meaning symbols, images, while V2 cannot match
the symbols in question number 2 and for V1 is able to apply mathematical ideas
while V2 can apply mathematical ideas but is wrong in adding up the final results.
Subjects A1 and A2 are able to identify and make examples, can apply
mathematical ideas, can make an estimate but cannot adjust the symbols in
question number 2. Subjects K1 and K2 are able to identify and make examples
and can apply mathematical ideas and for K1 and K2 cannot adjust the symbols in
question number 2 and K1 can make an estimate while for K2 cannot make an
estimate.
