Abstract

ABSTRAK
Analisis Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis Ditinjau Dari Kepercayaan Diri
Siswa Kelas VIII SMP. Dosen Pembimbing l Dedyerianto S.Si, M,Si. dan
Dosen Pembimbing ll Muhammad Syarwa Sangila S.Pd, M.Pd.
Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang bertujuan (1) Mengetahui
kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas VIII G SMPN 2 Kendari, (2)
Mengetahui kepercayaan diri siswa kelas VIII G SMPN 2 Kendari, (3) Mengetahui
kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa ditinjau dari kepercayan diri siswa kelas
VIII G SMPN 2 Kendari. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif
kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa Kelas VIII G SMPN 2 Kendari.
Pemilihan subjek menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, enam siswa akan
dipilih dengan masing-masing 2 orang mewakili setiap kategori kepercayaan diri.
Hasil penelitian ini adalah: (1) Siswa yang diberikan soal tes uraian terdiri dari 6
orang siswa, terdapat 3 siswa yang memenuhi indikator pertama, 6 siswa yang
memenuhi indikator kedua, 4 siswa yang memenuhi indikator ketiga, dan terdapat
3 siswa yang memenuhi indikator keempat. (2) Terdapat 30 siswa yang diberikan
tes angket dengan nomor soal sebanyak 20 pernyataan. Pada indikator percaya pada
kemampuan sendiri terdapat 26,29% dengan rata-rata 16,6; indikator bertindak
mandiri dalam mengambil keputusan terdapat 27,64% dengan rata-rata 16,4;
indikator tidak mudah putus asa terdapat 22,41% dengan rata-rata 13,3; Dan untuk
indikator berani dalam mengungkapkan pendapat terdapat 23,64% dengan rata-rata
14,03. (3) Keterkaitan antara kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan kepercayaan
diri yaitu siswa dengan kepercayaan tinggi mampu menjelaskan hasil pekerjaannya
dengan baik dan logis ketika wawancara. Kemudian siswa dengan kepercayaan diri
sedang belum mampu menggunakan simbol-simbol matematika dengan tepat serta
belum mampu menjelaskan hasil pekerjaan secara logis. Sedangkan siswa dengan
kepercayaan diri rendah belum mampu menggunakan simbol-simbol matematika
dengan tepat, belum mampu memahami istilah-istilah dalam bahasa matematika,
belum mampu menggambarkan situasi masalah dan menyatakan solusi masalah
dalam bentuk tulisan dan atau gambar dengan baik dan benar, serta belum mampu
menjelaskan hasil pekerjaan secara logis.

ABSTRACT
Analysis of Mathematical Communication Skills in View of the Self-
Confidence of Class VIII Middle School Students. Supervisor l Dedyerianto
S.Si, M,Si. and Supervisor II Muhammad Syarwa Sangila S.Pd, M.Pd.
This research is qualitative research which aims (1) to know ability communication
mathematical student class VIII G SMPN 2 Kendari , (2) Knowing trust self student
class VIII G SMPN 2 Kendari , (3) Knowing ability communication mathematical
student reviewed from trust self student class VIII G SMPN 2 Kendari . This type
of research uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The subjects in this research
were students of Class VIII G of SMPN 2 Kendari . Election subject use technique
purposive sampling , six student will chosen with 2 people each representing every
category trust self . The results of this research are : (1) S students were given
question test description consists Of the 6 students , there were 3 students who met
the requirements indicator Firstly , 6 students complied indicator secondly , 4
students complied indicator third , and there were 3 students who fulfilled it
indicator fourth . (2) There are 30 students given test questionnaire with number
question as many as 20 statements . On indicator believe on ability Alone there
were 26.29 % with an average of 16.6; indicator act independent in take decision
there were 27.64% with an average of 16.4; indicator No easy separated hope there
were 22.41% with an average of 13.3; And to indicator brave in disclose opinion
there were 23.64% with an average of 14.03. (3) Relatedness between ability
communication mathematical And trust self that is student with trust tall capable
explain results his job with Good And logical when interview . Then student with
trust self currently Not yet capable use symbols mathematics with appropriate as
well as Not yet capable explain results work in a way logical . Whereas student with
trust self low Not yet capable use symbols mathematics with Exactly , not yet
capable understand terms in Language math , not yet capable describe situation
problem And state solution problem in form writing And or picture with Good And
right , as well Not yet capable explain results work in a way logical .
