Abstract

ABSTRAK
Hayatun Muthmainnah (NIM: 202101010101139). Penerapan Keterampilan
4C (Critical Thinking, Creativity, Communication, Collaboration) dalam
Perkuliahan mahasiswa PAI di IAIN Kendari. Program Studi Pendidikan
Agama Islam Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Ilmu Keguruan IAIN Kendari.
Pendidikan di abad 21 menuntut penguasaan keterampilan 4C (Critical Thinking,
Creativity, Communication, Collaboration) agar mahasiswa PAI siap menghadapai
tantangan di era global saat ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeksripsikan
penerapan keterampilan 4C dalam perkuliahan mahasiswa PAI di IAIN Kendari
serta mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya. Penelitian ini
menggunakan pendekatan kulitatif deksriptif dengan metode fenomenologi. Data
dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis
dengan tahapan pengumpulan data, reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan Critical Thinking mahasiswa
tampak dalam kemampuan menganalisis materi, mengajukan pertanyaan, dan
menarik kesimpulan, keterampilan Creativity terlihat pada pembuatan opini ilmiah,
media pembelajaran, video, dan ide inovatif; keterampilan Communication
tercermin dalam diskusi, presentasi, serta penyampaian gagasan dengan bahasa
yang jelas dan mudah dipahami; sedangkan keterampilan Collaboration tampak
dalam kerja kelompok, pembagian tugas, dan diskusi bersama. Faktor pendukung
penerapan keterampilan 4C meliputi motivasi dosen, sistem pembelajaran aktif, dan
fasilitas kampus, sementara faktor penghambatnya adalah kurangnya kepercayaan
diri serta partisipasi aktif mahasiswa yang belum merata. Penelitian ini
menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan keterampilan 4C pada mahasiswa PAI telah
berjalan dengan baik, namun masih perlu ditingkatkan agar lebih optimal dalam
mempersiapkan lulusan yang kompeten menghadapi tantangan abad ke-21.

Skills (Critical Thinking, Creativity, Communication, Collaboration) in the
Learning Process of Islamic Education Students at IAIN Kendari. Department of

Education in the 21st century requires mastery of 4C skills (Critical Thinking,
Creativity, Communication, Collaboration) to prepare Islamic Education students
(PAI) to face the challenges of today’s global era. This study aims to describe the
implementation of 4C skills in the learning process of PAI students at IAIN Kendari
and to identify its supporting and inhibiting factors. This research employed a
qualitative descriptive approach with a phenomenological method. Data were
collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed
through the stages of data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion
drawing. The results of the study show that students’ Critical Thinking skills are
reflected in their ability to analyze material, ask questions, and draw conclusions;
Creativity is demonstrated through the creation of scientific opinions, learning
media, videos, and innovative ideas; Communication skills are seen in discussions,
presentations, and the clear and understandable delivery of ideas; while
Collaboration skills appear in group work, task distribution, and joint discussions.
The supporting factors for the implementation of 4C skills include lecturer
motivation, active learning systems, and campus facilities, while the inhibiting
factors are lack of self-confidence and uneven student participation. The study
concludes that the implementation of 4C skills among PAI students has been going
well but still needs improvement to optimally prepare competent graduates for the
challenges of the 21st century.
