Penelitian ini didasarkan pada permasalahan rendahnya hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII
MTs Al-Anshar kabupaten Konawe. Salah satu penyebab permasalahan tersebut yang
dilaporkan yaitu kurangnya penggunaan model pembelajaran dan media
pembelajaran, adapun media pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh guru selama ini
belum bervariasi, dimana guru lebih sering menerangkan materi secara lisan dan
memberikan catatan materi kepada siswa. Oleh karena itu peneliti mendesain sebuah
penelitian kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh problem based
learning berbantukan media animasi terhadap hasil belajar IPA topik sistem
pencernaan makanan manusia kelas VIII di MTs Al-Anshar Kabupaten Konawe.
Desain penelitian ini menggunakan desain nonequivalent control group design
artinya penelitian yang melibatkan dua kelompok peserta didik, yaitu kelas
eksperimen dan kontrol mendapatkan perlakuan yang berbeda. Teknik pengumpulan
data pada penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan tes, dokumentasi dan observasi. Teknik
analisis data yang dilakukan menggunakan analisis statistik deskritif dan inferensial.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh problem based learning
berbantukan media animasi terhadap hasil belajar siswa, dengan nilai thitung 2,379 >
ttabel 1,676, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh problem based
learning berbantukan media animasi terhadap hasil belajar IPA topik sistem
pencernaan makanan manusia kelas VIII MTs Al-Anshar Kabupaten Konawe.

This research is based on the problem of low learning outcomes for class VIII
students at MTs Al-Anshar, Konawe district. One of the reported causes of this
problem is the lack of use of learning models and learning media, while the learning
media used by teachers so far has not varied, with teachers more often explaining the
material orally and giving notes on the material to students. Therefore, the researcher
designed a quantitative study which aims to determine the effect of problem based
learning assisted by animation media on science learning outcomes on the topic of the
human food digestive system in class VIII at MTs Al-Anshar, Konawe Regency. This
research design uses a nonequivalent control group design, meaning that the research
involves two groups of students, namely the experimental and control classes, who
receive different treatment. The data collection technique in this research uses tests,
documentation and observation. Data analysis techniques were carried out using
descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The results of this research show that
there is an influence of problem based learning assisted by animation media on
student learning outcomes, with a value of tcount 2.379 > ttable 1.676, so it can be
concluded that there is an influence of problem based learning assisted by animation
media on science learning outcomes on the topic of the human food digestive system
for class VIII MTs Al-Anshar Konawe Regency.
