terhadap implementasi kurikulum merdeka belajar di MTsN 1 Kendari.

M.Pd.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui, menganalisis, dan mendeskripsikan
persepsi guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) terhadap implementasi Kurikulum
Merdeka Belajar di MTsN 1 Kendari, meliputi tingkat pemahaman guru, bentuk
penerapan, serta faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya. Penelitian menggunakan
pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Lokasi penelitian berada di
MTsN 1 Kendari, Sulawesi Tenggara, pada Mei-Agustus 2025. Sumber data terdiri
dari data primer yang diperoleh dari kepala madrasah, wakil kepala bidang
kurikulum, dan Guru PAI (Fiqh, Akidah Akhlak, SKI, dan Al-Qur’an Hadis), serta
data sekunder berupa dokumen, foto, dan arsip terkait. Teknik pengumpulan data
meliputi observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data
dilakukan melalui tahapan pengumpulan, reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan
kesimpulan, dengan uji keabsahan menggunakan triangulasi sumber, teknik, dan
waktu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru PAI memahami Kurikulum
Merdeka sebagai kurikulum yang memberi keleluasaan dalam merancang
pembelajaran sesuai kebutuhan dan karakter siswa, menekankan pembelajaran
berdiferensiasi, dan mengintegrasikan penguatan karakter melalui Projek Profil
Pelajar Pancasila dan Rahmatan lil Alamin. Implementasi kurikulum berjalan cukup
baik meskipun terdapat kendala seperti keterbatasan waktu tatap muka dan
kebutuhan pelatihan lanjutan. Persepsi guru PAI di MTsN 1 Kendari berada pada
kategori baik. Guru menilai Kurikulum Merdeka memberi fleksibilitas dalam
perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi pembelajaran. Mereka merasa lebih leluasa
menyesuaikan perangkat ajar dan metode pembelajaran dengan kebutuhan peserta
didik, serta dapat mengombinasikan berbagai bentuk asesmen untuk memperoleh
gambaran yang lebih utuh. Dengan demikian, guru memiliki respon positif karena
Kurikulum Merdeka dianggap memberi ruang kreativitas dan inovasi dalam
pembelajaran. Implikasi penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya pendampingan
berkelanjutan dan peningkatan kompetensi guru agar pelaksanaan Kurikulum
Merdeka di madrasah lebih optimal, serta mendorong inovasi pembelajaran PAI
yang relevan dengan tantangan zaman.

teachers towards the implementation of the independent learning curriculum at

This study aims to identify, analyze, and describe the perceptions of Islamic
Religious Education (PAI) teachers regarding the implementation of the
Independent Learning Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar) at MTsN 1
Kendari, covering the level of teachers’ understanding, forms of implementation, as
well as supporting and inhibiting factors. The research employed a qualitative
approach with a descriptive design. The study was conducted at MTsN 1 Kendari,
Southeast Sulawesi, from mei to August 2025. The data sources consisted of primary
data obtained from the principal, vice principal for curriculum affairs, and PAI
teachers (Fiqh, Aqidah Akhlak, Islamic Cultural History, and Qur’an-Hadith), as
well as secondary data in the form of documents, photographs, and relevant
archives. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and
documentation. Data analysis followed the stages of data collection, reduction,
presentation, and conclusion drawing, with validity tested through triangulation of
sources, techniques, and time. The findings indicate that PAI teachers perceive the
Independent Learning Curriculum as providing flexibility in designing learning
according to students’ needs and characteristics, emphasizing differentiated
instruction, and integrating character reinforcement through the Student Profile of
Pancasila and Rahmatan lil Alamin projects. The curriculum implementation runs
fairly well despite challenges such as limited face-to-face instructional time and the
need for further training. The perceptions of PAI teachers at MTsN 1 Kendari are
in the good category. Teachers assess the Merdeka Curriculum provides flexibility
in planning, implementing, and evaluating learning. They feel more comfortable
adjusting teaching materials and learning methods to the needs of the students, and
can combine various forms of assessment to obtain a more complete picture. Thus,
teachers have a positive perception because the Merdeka Curriculum is considered
to provide room for creativity and innovation in learning. The implication of this
research emphasizes the importance of continuous mentoring and improving
teacher competence so that the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in
madrasas is more optimal, and encourages PAI learning innovations that are
relevant to the challenges of the times
