Abstract

Resti Adelia, Nim. 2021010103049, Kepemimpinan Kepala Madrasah Dalam
Meningkatkan Profesionalisme Guru DI MTsN 1 Kendari. Dibimbing oleh : Dr.
Akib, M.Pd dan Badarwan, M.Pd.
Penelitian ini membahas tentang kepemimpinan kepala madrasah dalam
meningkatkan profesionalisme guru di MTsN 1 Kendari. Dengan ini bertujuan (1)
untuk mengetahui bagaimana kepemimpinan kepala madrasah di MTsN 1
Kendari, (2) mengetahui profesionalisme guru, (3) serta mengetahui strategi
kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme guru di MTsN 1 Kendari.
Profesionalisme guru merupakan aspek krusial dalam peningkatan mutu
pendidikan, dan kepala madrasah memiliki peran strategis dalam membinanya
melalui berbagai pendekatan kepemimpinan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode
penelitian kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan
kepala madrasah, wakil kepala madrasah, dan guru, serta dokumentasi dan
observasi lapangan. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan
Huberman yang meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan
penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa
kepemimpinan kepala madrasah di MTsN 1 Kendari mampu meningkatkan
profesionalisme guru melalui peran sebagai educator, manager, leader,
administrator, supervisor, innovator, dan motivator. Peningkatan tersebut terlihat
pada empat aspek utama profesionalisme guru, yaitu kompetensi pedagogik,
profesional, sosial, dan kepribadian. Kepala madrasah secara konsisten melakukan
supervisi akademik, memfasilitasi pelatihan dan workshop, memberikan motivasi
dan penghargaan, menciptakan iklim kerja yang kondusif, serta mendorong
kolaborasi antar guru. Strategi ini berdampak positif terhadap peningkatan
kualitas pembelajaran, disiplin, etos kerja, dan hubungan kerja yang harmonis di
lingkungan madrasah.

in Improving Teacher Professionalism at MTsN 1 Kendari. Supervised by: Dr.

This study examines the leadership of the madrasah principal in enhancing teacher
professionalism at MTsN 1 Kendari. The objectives of this study are: (1) to
determine how the leadership of the madrasah principal influences teacher
professionalism, (2) to assess the level of teacher professionalism, and (3) to
identify the strategies employed by the madrasah principal to enhance teacher
professionalism. Teacher professionalism is a critical component of improving
educational quality, and the madrasah principal plays a strategic role in fostering it
through various leadership approaches. This research employs a qualitative
method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the school
principal, vice principal, and teachers, as well as through documentation and field
observations. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model, which
involves data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion
drawing/verification. The findings indicate that the leadership of the madrasah
principal at MTsN 1 Kendari successfully improves teacher professionalism
through their roles as educator, manager, leader, administrator, supervisor,
innovator, and motivator. This improvement is evident in four main aspects of
teacher professionalism: pedagogical, professional, social, and personal
competence. The principal consistently conducts academic supervision, facilitates
training and workshops, provides motivation and rewards, creates a conducive
work environment, and encourages collaboration among teachers. These strategies
have had a positive impact on the quality of learning, discipline, work ethic, and
harmonious working relationships within the madrasah.
