Modul Pembelajaran Dalam Memfasilitasi Pemahaman Konsep Ilmiah Pada
Mata Pelajaran IPA Di SMP 5 Kendari (Dibimbing Oleh: Prof. Dr. H. Zulkifli
M M.Si, M.Pd dan Ismaun S.Si, M.Si)
Pendidikan merupakan aspek penting yang terus berkembang seiring
kemajuan teknologi modern, menuntut proses pembelajaran yang dapat
mengembangkan potensi siswa secara menyeluruh. Salah satu komponen kunci
dalam proses tersebut adalah bahan ajar. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan adanya bahan
ajar yang sistematis agar mampu memfasilitasi pemahaman konsep ilmiah pada
mata pelajaran IPA di SMP. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Mengetahui
bagaimana persepsi siswa terhadap kualitas modul pembelajaran yang digunakan
di kelas. (2) Mengetahui apa saja manfaat modul pembelajaran yang digunakan bagi
siswa. (3) Mengetahui sejauh mana modul pembelajaran memfasilitasi pemahaman
siswa terhadap materi yang diajarkan. (4) Mengetahui apa saja kendala yang
dihadapi bagi siswa saat menggunakan modul pembelajaran. Penelitian ini
menggunakan metode Kuantitatif Deskriftif. Sampel penelitian ini kelas VIII A dan
VIII B. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) rata-rata skor persepsi siswa terhadap
modul ajar adalah 3,0 yang termaksud kategori baik. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa
secara umum siswa memberikan penilaian positif terhadap modul ajar yang
digunakan. (2) Dari indikator manfaat yang telah didapatkan nilai total 17,8 dan
diperoleh rata-rata skor mencapai 2,97 yang termaksud kategori baik. (3) Modul
pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh guru terbukti efektif dalam memfasilitasi
pemahaman siswa terhadap materi yang diajarkan. (4) Kendala dari aspek
keterbacaan dan substansi modul menunjukkn kesulitan siswa dalam mencerna
materi karena penggunaan istilah-istilah ilmiah yang asing di telinga mereka serta
penjelasan yang kurang rinci. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul pembelajaran sudah
mampu memfasilitasi pemahaman konsep ilmiah mata pelajaran IPA di SMP.

Education is an important aspect that continues to develop along with the
advancement of modern technology, demanding a learning process that can develop
students' potential as a whole. One of the key components in this process is teaching
materials. Therefore, systematic teaching materials are needed to facilitate the
understanding of scientific concepts in science subjects in junior high schools. This
study aims to: (1) Determine how students perceive the quality of learning modules
used in class. (2) Determine what are the benefits of the learning modules used for
students. (3) Determine the extent to which the learning modules facilitate students'
understanding of the material being taught. (4) Determine what obstacles are faced
by students when using learning modules. This study uses a quantitative descriptive
method. The sample of this study was class VIII A and VIII B. The results of the
study show: (1) the average score of students' perceptions of the teaching module
is 3.0 which is included in the good category. This shows that in general students
give a positive assessment of the teaching module used. (2) From the benefit
indicators that have been obtained, the total value is 17.8 and the average score is
2.96 which is included in the good category. (3) The learning modules used by
teachers have proven effective in facilitating students' understanding of the material
being taught. (4) Constraints from the readability and substance aspects of the
module indicate students' difficulties in digesting the material due to the use of
scientific terms that are foreign to their ears and explanations that are not detailed
enough. It can be concluded that the learning module has been able to facilitate
understanding of scientific concepts in science subjects in junior high school.
