Kompetensi Membaca Kitab Kuning Santri Pondok Imam Ahmad Kota
Kendari, Dibimbing oleh: Dr. H. Samsu M.Pd dan Dr. Danial M. TH.I

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui : (1) Tahap-tahap manajemen pembinaan
kompetensi membaca kitab kuning di Pondok Imam Ahmad kota Kendari, (2)
faktor pendukung dan penghambat pesantren dalam membina membaca kitab
kuning di Pondok Imam Ahmad kota Kendari. Jenis data penelitian ini kualitaif
pendekatan deskriptif. Jenis data ini diklasifikasikan menjadi data primer dan data
sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data terdiri observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi
yang selanjutnya dianalisis dengan cara pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian
data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Tahaptahap

Pesantren Imam Ahmad Kota Kendari, pondok ini menerapkan fungsifungsi

manajemen secara terarah dan terstruktur, yaitu : Planning pembelajaran
kitab kuning dilakukan melalui rapat awal didamana dalam rapat tersebut
menentukan pembelajaran dan adaministrasi pembelajaran, Organizing
pembelajaran kitab kuning adalah pembagian tanggung jawab atau tugas dari
pendidik atau ustadz-uztadz sesuai dengan keahliannya. Actuating pembelajaran
kitab kuning yang penggerakkan pada saat pembelajaran kitab kuning berlangsung
dimulai dari pimpinan pondok pesantren menggerakkan ustadz yang lain sampai
menggerakkan santri. Controlling pemebelajaran kitab kuning merupakan aktivitas
manajeman terakhir. Dimana pada bagian ini melalui tahap evaluasi yang ada tiga
yaitu evaluasi, harian, evaluasi kitab tiap semester dan kenaikan level santri.
Pengawasan terhadap pembelajaran kitab kuning menjadi tanggung jawab bersama
seluruh elemen pondok pesantren agar proses pembinaan dapat berlangsung secara
efektif dan efisien. Faktor pendukung dan penghambat pesantren dalam membina
kemampuan membaca kitab kuning di pondok Imam Ahmad kota Kendari, faktor
pendorong yaitu, komitmen pimpinan dan pengasuh pondok, motivasi internal
santri, dan lingkungan belajar yang mendukung. Adapun faktor penghambat yakni,
kurangnya tenaga pengajar, keterbatasan waktu belajar.
Kata Kunci : Kemampuan membaca, kitab kuning.

YellowIslamic Book Reading Competence in Santri Imam Ahmad Kota

This study aims to determine: (1) the stages of managing the development of
competence in reading classical Islamic texts at Pondok Imam Ahmad in Kendari,
(2) the supporting and inhibiting factors for Islamic boarding schools in developing
the reading of classical Islamic texts at Pondok Imam Ahmad in Kendari. The type
of data in this study is qualitative with a descriptive approach. This data is classified
into primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques include observation,
interviews, and documentation, which are then analyzed through data collection,
data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study
indicate that the stages of management in fostering the competency of reading
classical Islamic texts at Pondok Imam Ahmad in Kendari City are efforts to achieve
the learning objectives and targets of classical Islamic texts at Pondok Pesantren
Imam Ahmad in Kendari City. This boarding school implements management
functions in a targeted and structured manner, namely: Planning for the study of the
yellow book is carried out through an initial meeting where the learning and
administration of learning are determined. Organizing the study of the yellow book
involves the division of responsibilities or tasks among educators or ustadz-uztadz
according to their expertise. Actuating the study of the yellow book, which is the
driving force during the study of the yellow book, begins with the leader of the
Islamic boarding school motivating the other ustadz and then motivating the
students. Controlling the teaching of the yellow book is the final management
activity. This involves three stages of evaluation: daily evaluation, evaluation of the
book each semester, and the advancement of students to higher levels. Supervision
of the teaching of the yellow book is the shared responsibility of all elements of the
boarding school to ensure that the educational process can take place effectively
and efficiently. Supporting and hindering factors for the boarding school in
developing students' ability to read the Kitab Kuning at Imam Ahmad Boarding
School in Kendari City include the following: supporting factors are the
commitment of the boarding school leadership and supervisors, internal motivation
of the students, and a supportive learning environment. Hindering factors include a
shortage of teachers and limited study time.
