Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) Terhadap Hasil Belajar Biologi
Siswa Kelas XI IPA Di SMA Negeri 8 Konawe Selatan”, Ir. Muragmi Gazali
M.Ed dan Hj. Rosmini S.Si, M.Pd

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) hasil belajar siswa sebelum dan
sesudah menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD pada kelas
eskperimen dan model pembelajaran discovery learning pada kelas kontrol pada
materi sistem ekskresi. (2) perbedaan hasil belajar siswa sebelum dan sesudah
menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD pada kelas eksperimen
dan model pembelajaran discovery learning pada kelas kontrol pada materi sistem
ekskresi. (3) kefektifan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dalam
meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan
kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperimen. kelompok eksperimen yang
menggunakan model kooperatif tipe STAD dan kelompok kontrol yang
menggunakan model discovery learning. Analisis data diperoleh melalui pretest
dan posttest. Analisis data hasil belajar menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata hasil
belajar sebelum perlakuan pada kelas eksperimen adalah 41,25, sedangkan pada
kelas kontrol yaitu 42,68. Setelah penerapan model pembelajaran, nilai rata-rata
kelas eksperimen meningkat menjadi 79,00, sementara kelas kontrol mencapai
71,84. Uji t menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan signifikan antar kelas
eksperimen dan kelas kontrol sebelum perlakuan (sig = 0,717 > 0,05), namun
terdapat perbedaan signifikan setelah perlakuan (sig = 0,006 < 0,05), hal ini
menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh STAD yang signifikan pada hasil belajar
siswa setelah penerapan model pembelajaran. Analisis uji N-Gain memperoleh
nilai rata-rata 0,65 dengan persentasi 65,25% termasuk dalam kategori cukup
efektif. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa bahwa model pembelajaran STAD cukup
efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar biologi siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis
tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penggunaan
model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD terhadap hasil belajar biologi siswa.

This study aims to determine: (1) student learning outcomes before and after using
the STAD type cooperative learning model in the experimental class and the
discovery learning model in the control class on the excretory system material. (2)
differences in student learning outcomes before and after using the STAD type
cooperative learning model in the experimental class and the discovery learning
model in the control class on the excretory system material. (3) the effectiveness
of the STAD type cooperative learning model in improving student learning
outcomes. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental
method. The experimental group uses the STAD type cooperative model and the
control group uses the discovery learning model. Data analysis was obtained
through pretest and posttest. Analysis of learning outcome data shows that the
average value of learning outcomes before treatment in the experimental class was
41.25, while in the control class it was 42.68. After the application of the learning
model, the average value of the experimental class increased to 79.00, while the
control class reached 71.84. The t-test showed no significant difference between
the experimental and control classes before treatment (sig = 0.717 > 0.05), but
there was a significant difference after treatment (sig = 0.006 < 0.05). This
indicates that STAD significantly influences student learning outcomes after
implementing the learning model. The N-Gain test analysis obtained an average
value of 0.65, with a percentage of 65.25%, categorized as moderately effective.
This indicates that the STAD learning model is quite effective in improving
students' biology learning outcomes. Based on these analysis results, it can be
concluded that the use of the STAD cooperative learning model significantly
influences student biology learning outcomes.
