Abstract

LUTFIA, NIM 2021010104130, Perbandingan Motivasi Belajar Siswa Yang
Tinggal dengan Orang Tua Kandung dan Tanpa Orang Tua Kandung di
Sekolah Dasar Negeri 1 Mawasangka Tengah, Dibimbing Oleh: Dr. Aris Try
Andreas Putra, M.Pd dan Khairunnisa Syamsu, S.Pd., M.Pd
Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui perbedaan motivasi belajar siswa kelas
V yang tinggal bersama orang tua kandung dan tanpa orang tua kandung di SD
Negeri 1 Mawasangka Tengah. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah adanya siswa
yang diasuh langsung oleh orang tua kandung maupun wali, yang diduga
memengaruhi motivasi belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif
dengan desain komparatif. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari 50 siswa kelas v, 40
siswa dipilih sebagai sampel melalui teknik purposive sampling, terdiri atas 20
siswa yang tinggal dengan orang tua kandung dan 20 siswa yang tinggal tanpa
orang tua kandung. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket motivasi belajar, dengan
analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan skor uji t (Independent Sample
T-Test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata motivasi belajar siswa dengan
orang tua kandung sebesar 57,70 (kategori sedang–tinggi), sedangkan siswa tanpa
orang tua kandung memperoleh skor 52,85 (kategori sedang). Hasil Uji t
menggunakan nilai t hitung 2,146 > t tabel 1,686, yang berarti terdapat perbedaan
signifikan antara kedua kelompok. Disimpulkan bahwa keberadaan orang tua
kandung berkontribusi positif terhadap motivasi belajar, ketidakhadiran orang tua
kandung cenderung berdampak pada rendahnya motivasi belajar.

which
is
presumed
to
influence
their
learning
motivation.
This
study
employed
a

qualitative

approach with a comparative design. The population consisted of 50
fifth-grade students, with 40 students selected as samples through purposive
sampling, comprising 20 students living with biological parents and 20 students
living without biological parents. The research instrument was a learning
motivation questionnaire, and the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics
and the Independent Sample T-Test. The results showed that the average learning
motivation score of students living with biological parents was 57.70 (moderate–
high category), while students without biological parents obtained an average
score of 52.85 (moderate category). The t-test results indicated that the calculated
t-value (2.146) was greater than the t-table value (1.686), meaning there is a
significant difference between the two groups.
