Praktik Ritual posuo merupakan tradisi yang berkembang di kesultanan
buton, ritual ini wajib diikuti pada seorang wanita bedarah buton yang belum
menikah sebagai penanda transisi wanita dari gadis remaja (kabua-bua) menjadi
seorang gadis dewasa (kalambe). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui
pemahaman tokoh adat dan masyarakat awam terhadap tradisi posuo kelurahan
tolandono kecamatan sangia wambullu, dan untuk mengetahui tradisi posuo adat
buton terhadap perspektif Al-urf. penelitian ini merupakan penelitian empiris yang
bertitik tolak pada data primer yaitu masyarakat kesultanan Buton dengan data
awal yang diperoleh melalui metode observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi.
Hasil analisis penelitian ini menujukan bahwa tradisi posuo adat Buton terhadap
perspektif Al-urf tidak bertentangan dengan dalil yang ada, pemakaiannya tidak
mengakibatkan kemafsadatan dan berlaku secara umum. Secara Rukun dan Syarat
Sahnya sudah terpenuhi namun masih terdapat sebagian besar masyarakat yang
melakukan mereka tidak melakukan sholat dan mencukur alis. Tokoh adat dan
masyarakat awam terhadap tradisi posuo kelurahan tolandona kecamatan sangia
wambulu ada beberapa masyarakat awam ada yang pro da nada yang kontra
dengan tradisi tersebut karena tradisi tersebut menolak dengan alasan tidak sesuai
syariat islam yang mengharuskan tidak kena air, hal ini membuat yang
menjalankan tradisi posuo tidak melaksanakan sholat padahal hal tersebut wajib.

The practice of the posuo ritual is a tradition that developed in the
sultanate of Buton, this ritual must be followed by an unmarried woman of Buton
descent as a sign of the transition of a woman from a teenage girl (kabua-bua) to
an adult girl (kalambe). This study aims to find out how traditional leaders and
ordinary people understand the posuo tradition in the Tolandono sub-district,
Sangia Wambullu sub-district, and to find out how the Buton customary posuo
tradition relates to Al-urf perspective. This research is an empirical research that
starts from primary data, namely the people of the Buton sultanate with initial
data obtained through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of
the analysis of this study show that the tradition of posuo adat Buton to the Al-urf
perspective does not conflict with existing arguments, its use does not result in
harm and is generally applicable. In harmony and the legal requirements hav
been fulfilled, but there are still a large proportion of people who do not pray and
shave their eyebrows. Traditional leaders and ordinary people towards the Posuo
tradition, Tolandona sub-district, Sangia Wambulu sub-district, there are some
ordinary people who are against this tradition because the tradition refuses on the
grounds that it is not in accordance with Islamic law which requires not to be
exposed to water, this makes those who carry out the Posuo tradition not perform
prayers even though this must.
