Abstract

This study aims to find out problems that focus on how the preferences of the alumni of the Minhajut Thullab Islamic Boarding School alumni have studied the benefits of saving for a frugal life and so on, where researchers must know the preferences of the students' interest in saving at the Minhajut Thullab Islamic Boarding School.
The type of this research is qualitative research. Data collection techniques used in this study are observation, interview methods (Interviews), and documentation. The analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, as well as using data validity checks and source triangulation techniques, technical triangulation and time triangulation.
Based on the results of this study, it shows that the preferences of the alumni of Minhajut Thullab Islamic boarding school students' interest in saving towards saving are to save expenses, unexpected costs, the desire to buy something, low transaction costs, affordable locations and ease of saving and withdrawing funds. There are two factors that influence the interest in saving for alumni of Minhajut Thullab Islamic boarding school students in making the decision to save.
