Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategies used by brick entrepreneurs in Langgea
Village in improving welfare. The formulation of the problems in this study are: 1) How is
the brick business strategy in Langgea village, Ranomeeto sub-district. 2) What is the welfare
level of brick entrepreneurs in Langgea village, Ranomeeto sub-district. This research is a
field research with a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used are interviews
with 40 informants, observation, and documentation. From the results of this study it can be
concluded that: 1) The strategy used consists of three types of strategies, namely corporate
strategy, business strategy, and functional strategy. 2) Based on the results of welfare
calculations using the CIBEST model on brick entrepreneurs, the results show that material
welfare, namely monthly income obtained is greater than the MV (Material Value) value,
