Nama Penulis : Ahmad Syawal (2020030105003), Judul Skripsi: Gaya Hidup
Hedonisme Dalam Perspektif Mufassir Kontemporer (Kajian Tafsir Q.S. al-Ḥadīd
[57]: 20).
Dibimbing oleh: Dr. Abdul Gaffar, S.Th.I., M.Th.I., & Dr. Danial, M.Th.I.,
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penafsiran Q.S. al-Ḥadīd [57]: 20 dari
perspektif empat mufassir kontemporer, yaitu Aḥmad Muṣṭafā al-Marāghī,
Abdurraḥmān bin Nāṣir as-Sa’dī, Muhammad Hasbi aṣ-Ṣiddīqī, dan Wahbah az
Zuḥailī, dalam konteks pemahaman tentang hedonisme dan urgensi menjaga
keseimbangan hidup. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan komparatif, penelitian ini
berupaya mengungkap persamaan, perbedaan, dan faktor-faktor yang
mempengaruhi penafsiran dari keempat mufassir tersebut dan implikasi perilaku
hedonisme. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif
dengan jenis penelitian kepustakaan (library research). Sumber data primer yang
digunakan adalah tafsir al-Marāghī, tafsir as-Sa’dī, tafsir an-Nūr, dan tafsir al
Munīr. Sedangkan sumber data sekunder meliputi buku, jurnal, dan artikel yang
relevan dengan topik penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keempat
mufassir sepakat dalam menafsirkan Q.S. al-Ḥadīd [57]: 20 sebagai peringatan agar
manusia tidak terperdaya oleh kesenangan duniawi yang fana dan melalaikan
persiapan untuk kehidupan akhirat. Meskipun terdapat perbedaan penekanan dalam
penafsiran mereka, hal ini tidak mengurangi esensi pesan utama ayat tersebut
sebagai kritik terhadap gaya hidup hedonis. Perbedaan penafsiran dipengaruhi oleh
faktor-faktor seperti latar belakang keilmuan, fanatisme mazhab, dan pendekatan
tafsir yang digunakan oleh setiap mufassir. Penelitian ini mengungkap berbagai
implikasi dari perilaku hedonisme, seperti kelalaian dalam mendidik anak secara
Islami, pemborosan waktu dan energi, kelalaian dalam beribadah, perilaku boros
dan riya', serta kesombongan yang dapat merusak hubungan sosial. Hasil penelitian
ini berkontribusi dalam pengembangan studi tafsir al-Qur’an, serta dapat menjadi
landasan bagi penelitian selanjutnya dan memberikan masukan bagi para
pendakwah, pendidik, dan pembuat kebijakan dalam merumuskan strategi untuk
menghadapi hedonisme.

This research aims to examine the interpretation of Q.S. al-Ḥadīd [57]: 20 from the
perspective of four contemporary mufassir, Aḥmad Muṣṭafā al-Marāghī,
Abdurraḥmān bin Nāṣir as-Sa’dī, Muhammad Hasbi aṣ-Ṣiddīqī, and Wahbah az
Zuḥailī, in the context of understanding hedonism and the urgency of maintaining
life balance. By using a comparative approach, this research seeks to reveal the
similarities, differences, and factors that influence the interpretation of the four
interpreters and the implications of hedonistic behavior. The method used in this
research is a qualitative method with the type of library research. The primary data
sources used are tafsir al-Marāghī, tafsir as-Sa’dī, tafsir an-Nūr, and tafsir al-Munīr.
Meanwhile, secondary data sources include books, journals, and articles relevant to
the research topic. The results of the study show that the four mufassir agree in
interpreting Q.S. al-Ḥadīd [57]: 20 as a warning so that humans are not deceived by
the fleeting pleasures of the world and neglect preparations for the afterlife. Even
though there are differences in emphasis in their interpretation, this does not reduce
the essence of the main message of the verse as a criticism of the hedonistic
lifestyle. Differences in interpretation are influenced by factors such as scientific
background, sectarian fanaticism, and the interpretive approach used by each
interpreter. This research reveals various implications of hedonistic behavior, such
as negligence in Islamic child education, waste of time and energy, neglect in
worship, extravagant and ostentatious behavior, and arrogance that can damage
social relationships. The results of this research contribute to the development of
Quranic interpretation studies and can serve as a basis for further research and
provide input for preachers, educators, and policymakers in formulating strategies
to deal with hedonism.
