Vina Pebriani. NIM. 202001010032. “Analisis Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis
Matematis Siswa SMP Dalam Menyelesaikan Soal Pola Bilangan Berdasarkan
Perbedaan Gender”. Dibimbing Oleh: Imaludin Agus, M. Pd. dan Firman Riansyah,
M. Sc.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan
untuk (1) mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas IX-1 SMPN 15
Kendari; (2) mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kritis berdasarkan perbedaan
gender siswa kelas IX-1 SMPN 15 Kendari. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa
kelas IX SMPN 15 Kendari yang berjumlah 108 siswa dari 4 kelas. Teknik
pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, sehingga diperoleh
sampel 22 siswa dari kelas IX-1. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui tes dan
wawancara. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah (1)
Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas IX-1 SMPN 15 Kendari memiliki nilai rata�rata sebesara 43,47. Mayoritas siswa memiliki kategori sedang (sebesar 68,18%
siswa); (2) Kemampuan berpikir kritis untuk siswa laki-laki dengan kategori tinggi
yaitu 0%, kategori sedang 40,91%, dan kategori rendah 9,09%. Sedangkan siswa
perempuan dengan kategori tinggi yaitu 13,4%, kategori sedang 27,27%, dan
kategori rendah 9,09%. Selain itu, jika ditinjau dari setiap aspek kemampuan
berpikir kritis matematika, diperoleh hasil bahwa 71,5% mampu menyelesaikan
soal pada aspek interpretasi, 41% mampu menyelesaikan soal pada aspek analisis,
27,25% menyelesaikan soal pada aspek evaluasi, dan 33% menyelesaikan soal pada
aspek kesimpulan.

This research is a qualitative descriptive study which aims to (1) describe
students' critical thinking abilities class IX students at SMPN 15 Kendari; (2)
describe critical thinking skills based on students' gender differences class IX
students at SMPN 15 Kendari. The population of this study was class IX students at
SMPN 15 Kendari, totaling 108 students from 4 classes. The sampling technique
used purposive sampling technique, so that a sample of 22 students from class IX�1 was obtained. Data collection techniques through tests and interviews. Data were
analyzed descriptively. The results of this research are (1) The critical thinking
ability of class IX-1 students at SMPN 15 Kendari has an average score of 43.47.
The majority of students are in the medium category (68.18% of students); (2)
Critical thinking abilities for male students in the high category are 0%, in the
medium category 40.91%, and in the low category 9.09%. Meanwhile, female
students in the high category were 13.4%, 27.27% in the medium category, and
9.09% in the low category. Apart from that, if we look at each aspect of critical
thinking ability in mathematics, the results show that 71.5% were able to solve
questions in the interpretation aspect, 41% were able to solve questions in the
analysis aspect, 27.25% solved questions in the evaluation aspect, and 33% solved
questions on the conclusion aspect.
