Abstract

ABSTRAK
Nurdiana. 19030101001. Komunikasi Antarbudaya Santri Putri dan Pembina Pondok
Pesantren al-Muhajirin Darussalam Pondidaha. (Dibimbing oleh : Widya Ningsih M.SI.,)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui gambaran komunikasi antarbudaya
yang terjadi antara santri dengan santri dan santri dengan Pembina di Pondok Pesantren alMuhajirin

Darussalam dalam proses belajar mengajar dan sehari-hari, (2) mengetahui
faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam komunikasi antarbudaya yang dilakukan oleh
Santri putri dan pembina Pondok Pesantren al-Muhajirin Darussalam. (3) Mengetahui efek
dari komunikasi antarbudaya yang dilakukan santri putri dan pembina pondok pesantren
al-Muhajrin Darussalam. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan
pendenkatan fenomenologi yang dilakukan di Desa ahuawatu, Kecamatan Pondidaha,
Kabupaten Konawe. Pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan studi
dokumentasi. Data lalu dianalisis dengan teori Communication Accommodation Theory,
Anxeity and Uncertainty Management Theory, dan Speech Code Theory. Hasil penelitian
menunjukan bahwa: (1) komunikasi antarbudaya Santri dan Pembina pondok pesantren alMuhajirin
Darussalam
meliputi
proses
adaptasi
berupa
asimiliasi
dan
integrasi
serta
proses

pengalihan

kode bahasa mengikuti suku mayoritas. (2) Faktor pendukung komunikasi
antarbudaya Santri putri dan Pembina antar lain: bahasa Indonesia, proses non verbal, dan
ketertarikan. Adapun faktro-faktor yang menjadi penghambat meliputi: Bahasa dan logat,
Steoritip dan separasi, dan Perasaan takut dan cemas. (3) Efek komunikasi antarbudaya
yang dialami Santri putri dan Pembina pondok pesantren al-Muhajirin Darussalam adalah
sebagai berikut: Efek kogtif yang bersifat informatif; Efek konatif merujuk pada perilaku
Santri yang melakukan sesuatu menurut cara tertentu sehingga mengubah karakter, dan
pola pikirnya; Efek afektif, efek pada emosional Santri, seperti malu, takut, cemas, bahagia,
dan sebagainya; dan pesan terhambat.

This study aims to: (1) find out the description of intercultural communication that occurs
between santri and santri and santri with the supervisor at Al-Muhajirin Darussalam
Islamic Boarding School in the teaching and learning process and everyday
life,(2)knowing the supporting and inhibiting factors in intercultural communication
carried out by female students and the supervisor of the al-Muhajirin Darussalam Islamic
Boarding School. (3) find out the effect of intercultural communication carried out by
female students and the supervisor of the al-Muhajrin Darussalam Islamic Boarding
School, This study used a qualitative descriptive method with a phenomenological
approach which was carried out in Ahuawatu Village, Pondidaha District, Konawe
Regency. Collecting data through observation, interviews and documentation studies. The
data were then analyzed with the theory of Communication Accommodation Theory,
Anxeity and Uncertainty Management Theory, and Speech Code Theory. The results of the
study show that: (1) intercultural communication between the Santri and the Trustees of
the al-Muhajirin Darussalam Islamic boarding school begins with an adaptation process
in the form of assimilation and integration which causes the transfer of language codes.
(2) Supporting factors for intercultural communication of female students and mentors
include: Indonesian language, non-verbal processes, and interest. The inhibiting factors
include: language and accent, stereotypes and separation, and feelings of fear and anxiety.
(3) The effects of intercultural communication experienced by female students and the
supervisor of the al-Muhajirin Darussalam Islamic boarding school are as follows:
Cogtive effects that are informative; The conative effect refers to the behavior of students
who do things in a certain way so as to change their character and mindset; Affective
effects, effects on the emotional students, such as shame, fear, anxiety, happiness, and so
on; and messages are blocked.
