Abstract

A'inul Pitri, 19010101161. Implementation of Dhuha Prayer in Improving the
Spirituality of Class IX Students at MTs An-Nur Atari Jaya, Lalembuu District,
Konawe Selatan Regency. Islamic Religious Education Study Program, Faculty
of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Kendari.
Supervised by: Dr.H.Pairin, M.A and Dr.Fatirawahidah M.Ag
This study aims to explore the implementation of dhuha prayer in improving
student spirituality, to describe the efforts of teachers in increasing student
spirituality and to analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors of implementing
dhuha prayer in increasing student spirituality. This type of research uses descriptive
qualitative. The research location is MTs An-Nur, Atari Jaya Village, Lalembuu
district, South Konawe Regency. Primary data sources consist of; school principal,
class IX students, class IX homeroom teacher, dhuha prayer picket teacher, OSIM
head, and Wakasek. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and
documentation. The data analysis techniques through data reduction, data
presentation and drawing conclusions. The triangulation used is source triangulation,
technical triangulation and time triangulation. The results of this study are 1) The
implementation of dhuha prayer for class IX students at MTs An-Nur Atari Jaya
consists of; Implementation of dhuha Prayers, and Supervision of dhuha Prayers. 2)
The teacher's efforts to improve the spirituality of class IX students at MTs An-Nur
Atari Jaya consist of; giving advice, providing additional understanding of religion,
daily worship and istigasah. 3) Supporting factors from the outside (external),
namely the existence of facilities to call students to carry out Duha prayers, namely
mic (speakers), and sufficient teacher personnel to form picket teachers. Internal
factors, namely the existence of good cooperation, good relations and good
communication between the teacher and the students themselves, and good
cooperation between the picket teacher and other picket teachers. As for the
inhibiting factors, namely external factors consisting of a small prayer room so that
students must be separated in carrying out Dhuha prayers in congregation, learning
hours in class must be reduced and the availability of water is usually hampered,
causing students to queue and be late. Internal factors consist of there are still
students in class IX who are late for the Duha prayer in congregation and there are
student complaints about the set time.
