Abstract

ABSTRACT
Dian Puspita Sari SID 17010106033.“EFL Learners’ Belief about Writing
Skill”. Supervised by: Isna Humaera S.Ag., S.Pd., M.Pd.
The main objective of this study was to explore EFL students' beliefs
about writing skills. Data were collected using a reflection sheet from 20 students
majoring in English Education at a university in Southeast Sulawesi, and the data
were analyzed using. This study found that there are several positive and negative
beliefs that exist in EFL students in learning writing. This is indicated by the
statements of several EFL students who believe that their negative beliefs can
affect the quality of student learning. In addition, EFL students also believe that
there are several efforts that can be made to develop the quality of students'
writing skills such as reading, writing exercises, enriching vocabulary, and
utilizing online learning media. This will provide information to students about
the importance of knowing the beliefs of EFL students as a reference in an effort
to improve students' writing skills, especially EFL students.
