Abstract

Teacher discipline in teaching is very important in fostering students'
interest in learning at school. Unfortunately, there has been a neglect of
teacher teaching discipline at SMPN Satap 6 Motui, North Konawe Regency.
This research aims to explain teacher discipline, student interest in learning in
Islamic Religious Education subjects, the relationship between teacher
discipline and student interest in learning in Islamic Religious Education
subjects at SMPN Satap 6 Motui. The type of research used is quantitative
research using a survey approach. Researchers used a questionnaire
technique, with two variables, namely, the independent variable was teacher
discipline (X) and the dependent variable was student learning interest (Y). The
population in this study was 51 students, with a sample of 51 students taking
the total population using a saturated sampling technique. The data was
analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques, analysis
requirements tests and product moment hypothesis testing. The results of this
research show that teacher discipline is in the medium category, student
interest in learning is in the medium category. The relationship between
teacher discipline and student interest in learning in Islamic Religious
Education subjects is in the quite strong category with a correlation of 0.460
(0.40 < 0.60) so that It can be concluded that there is a positive relationship
between teacher discipline and student interest in learning in Islamic Religious
Education subjects at SMPN Satap 6 Motui.

Kedisiplinan guru dalam mengajar sangat penting dalam menumbuhkan
minat belajar siswa di sekolah. Sayangnya, telah terjadi pengabaian disiplin
mengajar guru di SMP Negeri Satap 6 Motui Kabupaten Konawe Utara.
Penelitian ini bertujuan menjelaskan kedisiplinan guru, minat belajar siswa
pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam, hubungan kedisiplinan guru
dengan minat belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di
SMPN Satap 6 Motui. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian
kuantitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan survey. Peneliti menggunakan
teknik angket, dengan dua variabel yakni, variabel bebas adalah kedisiplinan
guru (X) dan variabel terikat adalah minat belajar siswa (Y). Populasi pada
penelitian ini adalah 51 siswa, dengan sampel 51 siswa mengambil jumlah
keseluruhan populasi menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Data di analisis
menggunakan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif, uji persyaratan analisis dan uji
hipotesis product moment. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan kedisiplinan guru
berada pada kategori sedang, minat belajar siswa berada pada kategori sedang,
Hubungan kedisiplinan guru dengan minat belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran
Pendidikan Agama Islam berada pada kategori cukup kuat dengan korelasi
0,460 (0,40 < 0,60) sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang
positif antara kedisiplinan guru dengan minat belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran
Pendidikan Agama Islam di SMPN Satap 6 Motui.
