Abstract

ABSTRAK
Meri Wahyuni, NIM. 18010108072. “Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran
Discovery Learning Terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Siswa Pada
Materi Plantae Di SMAN 11 Kendari”. (Dibimbing Oleh: Dr. Jumarddin La
Fua S.Si.,M.Si Dan Hilda Ayu Melvi Amalia M.Sc).
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) untuk mengetahui kemampuan
berpikir kritis dengan menggunakan model konvensional dan model discovery
learning di kelas X SMAN 11 Kendari pada materi plantae (2) untuk mengetahui
perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis sebelum menggunakan model konvensional
dam model pembelajaran discovery learning di kelas X SMAN 11 Kendari pada
materi plantae (3) untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa
sebelum dan sesudah penerapan model konvensional dan model pembelajaran
discovery learning di kelas X SMAN 11 Kendari pada materi plantae (4) untuk
mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang menggunakan
model konvensional dan pembelajaran discovery learning kelas X SMAN 11
Kendari pada materi plantae. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif
Eksperimen menggunakan desain Quasi Eksperimen. Teknik analisis data yang
digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif: Prasyarat analisis (uji normalitas dan uji
homogenitas) dan uji hipotesis (uji perbedaan dua rata-rata, uji t berpasangan dan
uji tingkat efektif). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) kelas eksperimen
dengan model disocovery learning cukup efektif dengan nilai 66,46 atau 66%
sedangkan kelas kontrol (model konvensional) kurang efektif dengan nilai 51,51
atau 51%(2) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa
(pretest) model konvensional dengan nilai 45, dan (pretest) model discovery
learning dengan nilai 46 (3) terdapat perbedaan signifikan terhadap nilai rata-rata
sebelum model konvensional sebesar 45, sedangkan sesudah model discovery
learning sebesar 82. (4) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan sesudah model
konvensional sebesar 72 sedangkan model discovery learning sebesar 82.

This study aims to determine: (1) to determine critical thinking skills using
conventional models and discovery learning models in class X SMAN 11 Kendari
on plantae material (2) to determine differences in critical thinking skills before
using conventional models and discovery learning models in class X SMAN 11
Kendari on plantae material (3) to determine differences in students' critical
thinking abilities before and after the application of conventional models and
discovery learning models in class X SMAN 11 Kendari on plantae material (4) to
determine differences in students' critical thinking abilities using conventional
models and discovery learning in class X SMAN 11 Kendari on plantae material.
Application using the discovery learning model is 82%. This score indicates that
there is a difference in the average posttest of the conventional model and the
posttest of the discovery learning model. This research is an experimental
quantitative research using a quasi-experimental design. The data analysis
technique used is descriptive analysis: Prerequisite analysis (normality test and
homogeneity test) and hypothesis testing (difference test of two averages, paired t
test and effective level test). The results showed that: (1) the experimental class
with the discovery learning model was quite effective with a value of 66.46 or
66% while the control class (conventional model) was less effective with a value
of 51.51 or 51% (2) there was a significant difference in thinking ability. Students'
critical (pretest) conventional model with a value of 45, and (pretest) discovery
learning model with a value of 46 (3) there is a significant difference to the
average value before the conventional model is 45, while after the discovery
learning model is 82. (4) there are a significant difference after the conventional
model is 72 while the discovery learning model is 82.
