Abstract

ABSTRACT
Wulan Safitri. SID 17010106047. Students „Challenges in Translation
project-based task. Supervised by: Isna Humaera, S.AG, S.Pd, M.Pd
This study aims to describe students' challenges in project-based task in
the translation class. This project focuses on creating a storybook and how the
students face the challenges. The participants of this study consisted of 20
students from translation class at an agency, A and B class in the fifth semester
of the 2017 academic year. Qualitative data were analyzed by student reflection.
The results showed that the students encountered several challenges when
completing the Translation project. The research method uses a qualitative
approach with descriptive data analysis techniques. The result shows that in
completing the project, students faced several challenges, such as designing
pictures and covers, looking for folklore, translating folklore into English
according to the translation rules they had learned. The students also faced
challenges when working in groups ,such as different opinion and lack of
communication and its hard to get together.
