Solving (CPS) Terhadap Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematika dan
Self Efficacy Siswa di Konawe Selatan”. Dibimbing Oleh: Hasrin Lamote
S.Pd.,M.Sc dan Halistin M.Si
Model pembelajaran yang dapat membantu siswa dalam meningkatkan
kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika dan self efficacy siswa salah satunya
adalah dengan menggunakan model Creative Problem Solving (CPS). Tujuan
penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui deskripsi kemampuan pemecahan masalah
matematika dan self efficacy serta untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan
Creative Problem Solving (CPS) terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan
self efficacy pada soal cerita materi persamaan linear satu variabel soal cerita
siswa kelas VII SMPN 12 Konawe Selatan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian
kuantitatif quasi-eksperimen. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik
purposive sampling untuk penentuan kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Kelas
VII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII C sebagai kelas kontrol. Metode
pengumpulan data terdiri dari tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika,
angket self efficacy, serta lembar observasi guru dan siswa. Hasil penelitian
diperoleh: 1) Deskripsi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa setelah
diajar dengan menggunakan model Creative Problem Solving (CPS) lebih baik
dari pada siswa yang diajar menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. 2)
Deskripsi self efficacy siswa setelah diajar dengan menggunakan pembelajaran
konvensional lebih baik dari pada siswa yang diajar menggunakan model Creative
Problem Solving (CPS). 3) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penerapan Creative
Problem Solving (CPS) terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika
pada materi persamaan linear satu variabel siswa kelas VII SMPN 12 Konawe
Selatan. Dengan menggunakan uji Mann Whitney U diperoleh nilai signifikansi
0,007 < 0,05. 4) Tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penerapan Creative
Problem Solving (CPS) terhadap self efficacy siswa pada materi persamaan linear
satu variabel siswa kelas VII SMPN 12 Konawe Selatan. Dengan menggunakan
uji independent t tes diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,906 > 0,05.

(CPS) Applications on Students' Mathematical Problem Solving Ability and

The Creative Problem Solving (CPS) model is one of the learning models that can
help students improve their ability in mathematical problems solving as well as
their self-efficacy. The purpose of this study is to describe mathematics problem�solving ability and self-efficacy and to investigate the impact of applying creative
problem-solving on problem-solving ability and self-efficacy in the context of
linear equations in class VII at SMPN 12 South Konawe. This research is quasi�experimental quantitative research. Sampling techniques use purposive sampling
to determine the experimental class and control class. Class VII A is the
experimental class, and Class VII C is the control class. The data collection
method consists of mathematical problem-solving skills tests, self- efficacy lifts,
as well as teacher and student observation sheets. The study yielded the following
findings: 1) Descriptions of students' ability to solve mathematical problems after
teaching using the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) model are better than students
taught using conventional learning. 2) The description of students' self- efficacy
following conventional teaching surpasses that of students taught using the
creative problem-solving model. 3) The application of creative problem-solving
significantly influences students' ability to solve mathematical problems related to
the linear equation material in class VII at SMPN 12 South Konawe. The Mann�Whitney U test yielded a significant score of 0,007 < 0,05. 4) In class 7 of SMPN
12, the use of creative problem solving (CPS) does not significantly impact
students' self-efficacy on the linear material of a single variable. The independent
test obtained a significance value 0,906 > 0,05.
