Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian mixed method yang bertujuan untuk (1)
mendeskripsikan PDM siswa; (2) mendeskripsikan KLS siswa;
(3)
mendeskripsikan KLS ditinjau dari PDM siswa; dan (4) mengkaji pengaruh PDM
terhadap KLS siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX SMPN 3
Kendari yang berjumlah 264 siswa dari 9 kelas. Teknik pengambilan sampel
menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling dan purposive sampling, sehingga
diperoleh sampel 65 siswa dari 3 kelas. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui tes
pilihan ganda untuk mengukur PDM siswa, dan tes essay untuk mengukur KLS
siswa. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil dari penelitian ini
adalah (1) PDM siswa kelas IX SMPN 3 Kendari memiliki nilai rata-rata sebesar
72,31. Mayoritas siswa memiliki kategori PDM sedang (sebesar 60% siswa); (2)
KLS siswa kelas IX SMPN 3 Kendari memiliki nilai rata-rata sebesar 49,95.
Mayoritas siswa memiliki kategori KLS sedang (sebesar 56,92% siswa); (3) siswa
dengan PDM tinggi mampu mencapai beberapa indikator KLS diantaranya
menyajikan data dan representasinya dan menginterpretasikan data, siswa dengan
PDM sedang mampu mencapai salah satu indikator KLS yaitu indikator
menginterpretasikan data, sementara siswa dengan PDM rendah belum mampu
mencapai semua indikator KLS; (4) terdapat pengaruh PDM yang signifikan
terhadap kemampuan literasi statistik dengan besar pengaruh sebesar 0,35 satuan.

This research is a mixed method research which aims to (1) describe student
PDM ; (2) describe student KLS ; (3) describe the SEA reviewed from PDM
students ; and (4) review the effect of PDM on KLS students . The population of
this research was class IX students of SMPN 3 Kendari, totaling 264 students of 9
class . The sampling technique used cluster random sampling and purposive
sampling, so that a sample of 65 students was obtained of 3 classes . Data
collection techniques through multiple choice tests For measure students' PDM ,
and essay tests For measure students' KLS . Data were analyzed descriptively and
inferentially. Research results This are (1) student PDM class IX SMPN 3
Kendari has the average value of 72.31 . Majority student own medium PDM
category ( by 60% student ); (2) KLS students class IX SMPN 3 Kendari has an
average value of 49.95. Majority student own medium KLS category ( by 56.92 %
students ) ; (3) students with high PDM were able to achieve several SEA
indicators including presenting data and their representation and interpreting
data, students with average PDM were able to achieve one of the SEA indicators ,
namely the indicator of interpreting data, while students with low PDM were not
able to achieve all of the SEA indicators ; (4) there is a significant effect of PDM
on statistical literacy skills with big influence of 0.35 units.
