Risa Rahmawati. NIM. 18010110031. “Analisis Matematika Siswa Pada
Indikator Flexibility Dan Originality Materi Bilangan Pecahan Di SMP”.
Dibimbing Oleh: Sri Anandari Safaria, S.Pd., M.Pd. dan Halistin, M.Si
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang bertujuan (1) untuk
mengetahui kemampuan matematika siswa pada indikator flexibility; (2) untuk
mengetahui kemampuan matematika siswa pada indikator originality. Metode
penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif, untuk mengetahui kemampuan
matematika siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal pecahan pada indikator flexibility
dan originality. Partisipan pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIIA SMP
Negeri 2 Konawe Selatan yang berjumlah 32 siswa. Instrumen penelitian yang
digunakan terdiri atas 2 yaitu tes tertulis berupa essay 2 soal indikator flexibility
dan originality matematika siswa. Pedoman wawancara terdiri dari 6 item
pertanyaan yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses pengerjaan soal dalam
menyelesaikan soal indikator flexibility dan originality. Pengambilan subjek
penelitian melalui tes soal pecahan dan diambil sebanyak 3 subjek penelitian yaitu
1 subjek dari kategori tinggi, 1 subjek dari kategori sedang, dan 1 subjek dari
kategori rendah. Data kemampuan matematika siswa pada indikator flexibility dan
originality diukur pada skala ordinal 1 sampai 4. Pengolahan data dihitung
kedalam bentuk rata-rata dan persentase, hasil analisis data tersebut diperoleh
pada indikator flexibility menghasilkan rata-rata sebesar 2,97 dengan persentase
sebesar 74,25%, dan pada indikator originality memperoleh rata-rata sebesar 1,00
dengan persentase sebesar 25%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1)
Kemampuan matematika siswa kelas VIIA pada indikator flexibility berada
kriteria baik; dan (2) Kemampuan matematika siswa kelas VIIA pada indikator
originality berada kriteria kurang.

This research is a qualitative study which aims (1) to determine students'
mathematical abilities on the flexibility indicator; (2) to determine students'
mathematical abilities on the originality indicator. This research method uses
descriptive analysis, to determine students' mathematical abilities in solving
fraction problems on the flexibility and originality indicators. Participants in this
research were 32 students in class VIIA of SMP Negeri 2 South Konawe. The
research instruments used consisted of 2, namely a written test in the form of an
essay with 2 questions on indicators of students' mathematical flexibility and
originality. The interview guide consists of 6 question items which aim to find out
the process of working on questions in solving flexibility and originality indicator
questions. The research subjects were taken through a fraction test and 3 research
subjects were taken, namely 1 subject from the high category, 1 subject from the
medium category, and 1 subject from the low category. Data on students'
mathematical abilities on the flexibility and originality indicators is measured on
an ordinal scale of 1 to 4. Data processing is calculated in the form of averages
and percentages. The results of the data analysis obtained on the flexibility
indicator produce an average of 2.97 with a percentage of 74.25 %, and the
originality indicator obtained an average of 1.00 with a percentage of 25%. The
results of the research show that (1) the mathematics abilities of class VIIA
students on the flexibility indicator are in good criteria; and (2) The mathematics
ability of class VIIA students in the originality indicator is below the criteria.
