Abstract
ABSTRACT
Nur Rahma Yusdiawati. SID. 18010106006. EFL Students‘ Experiences of Video
Project Making in Teaching English for Young Learner Class. Supervised by:
Suhartini Syukri, S.Pd.I., S.Pd., M.Pd. and Nur Hasanah Safei, M.Pd.
This research aims to explore the experiences of EFL students engaging in video
project creation for teaching English to young learners. The study utilized
thematic analysis to qualitatively examine written reflections provided by five
EFL students enrolled in the English Education department. The findings revealed
that while some students found video storytelling to be impressive, others
encountered challenges, particularly due to their lack of prior experience with
such assignments. The students engaged in various preparatory activities,
including searching for different fairy tales, selecting a story, crafting dialogues,
and assigning roles. The process of creating video storytelling unfolded
systematically, accompanied by both benefits and challenges. Pedagogically, the
study suggests that educators and students could benefit from insights gleaned to
improve online collaborative projects, thereby enhancing digital literacy and skills
among EFL students for future endeavors.
