Abstract

Risky Rahma Dania, NIM. 18010104004. “Analisis Kesulitan Belajar
Matematika Siswa Pada Materi Pecahan Kelas V di SDN 2 Ranomeeto Barat
Kabupaten Konawe Selatan”. Dibimbing oleh : Sitti Aisyah Mu’min, S.Ag.,
M.Pd. & Halistin, M.Si.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) Apa saja bentuk kesulitan
belajar matematika siswa pada materi bilangan pecahan, 2) Apa faktor penyebab
kesulitan belajar matematika siswa, dan 3) Bagaimana upaya guru dalam
mengatasi kesulitan belajar matematika yang dialami oleh siswa kelas V SDN 2
Ranomeeto Barat. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif
kualitatif. Informan yang terdiri dari wali kelas V, 7 orang siswa yang
teridentifikasi mengalami kesulitan belajar matematika pada materi bilangan
pecahan, dan orang tua siswa. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober 2022
sampai dengan Juni 2023, di SDN 2 Ranomeeto Barat. Pengumpulan data
menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data yang disajikan
berdasarkan hasil kesimpulan dari ketiga metode penggumpulan data yang
digunakan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Kesulitan belajar
matematika yang dialami oleh siswa pada materi bilangan pecahan yaitu berupa
kesulitan dalam pemahaman konsep, kesulitan dalam keterampilan berhitung, dan
kesulitan dalam pemecahan masalah, 2) Faktor yang mempengaruhi siswa
sehingga menyebabkan mereka mengalami kesulitan belajar yaitu berasal dari
konten matematika, prilaku belajar siswa, dan lingkungan belajar siswa yang
meliputi lingkungan sekolah dan lingkungan keluarga, dan 3) Upaya yang
dilakukan oleh guru untuk mengatasi kesulitan belajar siswa pada materi bilangan
pecahan yaitu mengadakan program remedial bagi siswa yang mendapatkan nilai
rendah.

This research aims to find out: 1) What are the forms of students' math
learning difficulties in fractional number material, 2) What are the factors causing
students' math learning difficulties, and 3) How teachers' efforts in overcoming
math learning difficulties experienced by fifth grade students of SDN 2
Ranomeeto Barat. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative research. The
informants consisted of the fifth grade teacher, 7 students who were identified as
having difficulty learning mathematics on the material of fractions, and parents of
students. The research was conducted from October 2022 to June 2023, at SDN 2
Ranomeeto Barat. Data collection used observation, interview, and
documentation. The data presented is based on the conclusion of the three data
collection methods used. The results of this study show that: 1) Mathematics
learning difficulties experienced by students in fractional number material are in
the form of difficulties in understanding concepts, difficulties in counting skills,
and difficulties in problem solving, 2) Factors that influence students that cause
them to experience learning difficulties come from mathematics content, student
learning behavior, and the student learning environment which includes the school
environment and family environment, and 3) Efforts made by teachers to
overcome student learning difficulties in fractional number material are holding
remedial programs for students who get low scores.
