Abstract

ABSTRAK
Defri Zainun (19030101013). Program Studi Komunikasi dan Penyiaran
Islam. Fakultas Ushuluddin Adab dan Dakwah, Institut Agama Islam Negeri
(IAIN) Kendari, Analisis Semiotika Pada Film Bajrangi Bhaijaan Melalui
Kajian Mise En Scene Dalam Mempengaruhi Opini Publik. Dibimbing Oleh
: Subria Mamis, S.I.Kom., M.I.Kom
Penelitian kualitatif ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses representase
makna pada film Bajrangi Bhaijaan dengan analisis semiotika Saussure dalam
merefleksikan realitas sosial. Data yang dikumpulkan dan diidentifikasi melalui
representase Mapping Display, metode observasi dan dokumentasi 123 gambar
(Scene). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa film Bajrangi Bhaijaan
menampilkan latar belakang simbolis budaya-kultural serta konflik umat
beragama yaitu Islam dan Hindu yang ditandai renggangnya hubungan Pakistan�India sehingga memberikan pengaruh publik dalam menghasilkan opini.
Kemudian, rangkaian analisa sistem tanda dan makna pada representase semiotika
film Bajrangi Bhaijaan baik skenario, gambar, teks dan adegan menemukan
adanya nilai aspek sosial dan kultural meliputi cinta kasih, toleransi serta sikap
peduli sesama. Penelitian ini mengindikasikan bahwa film mengubah cara
pandang massa terhadap persoalan, yaitu massa memberikan persepsi melalui
sensasi yang dirasakan terhadap efek pengaruh yang diterima sesuai realitas
sosialnya. Selain itu, media film sangat berpengaruh dalam menghasilkan opini
yang preferensi terhadap situasi dimana peran media memberikan kebebasan
massa bersosial dan menumbuhkan persepsi yang signifikan sehingga
menimbulkan pesan yang tidak selaras terkait pemahaman publik yang dihasilkan
dari efek media.

Through Mise En Scene Studies In Influencing Public Opinion.Supervised

This qualitative study aims to determine the process of representing
meaning in the film Bajrangi Bhaijaan with Saussure's semiotic analysis in
reflecting on social reality. Data was collected and identified through Mapping
Display representations, observation methods and documentation of 123 images
(Scenes). The results of this study indicate that the film Bajrangi Bhaijaan
displays a symbolic background of cultural and religious conflicts, namely Islam
and Hinduism which are marked by the tenuous relationship between Pakistan and
India so that it gives public influence in producing opinion. Then, a series of
analyzes of sign systems and meanings in the semiotic representation of the film
Bajrangi Bhaijaan, including scenarios, images, texts and scenes, found social and
cultural values including love, tolerance and concern for others. This study shows
that films change the way the masses perceive problems, that is, the masses
provide perceptions through the sensations that are felt towards the effects of
influence received in accordance with their social reality. In addition, the film
media is very influential in raising preference opinions in situations where the role
of the media is to give freedom to the masses to socialize and foster significant
perceptions, resulting in messages that are not in line with the resulting public
understanding from media effects
