Hasil belajar siswa SMP Negeri 1 Konawe Selatan masih belum optimal
hal ini dilihat dari nilai ulangan harian pada mata pelajaran IPA yang belum
memenuhi kriteria ketuntasan minimal. Selain itu siswa belum memiliki inisiatif
sendiri untuk membaca dan masih ditemukan beberapa siswa yang belum efektif
dan efisien dalam memanfaatkan waktu belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk
mengetahui: (1) Minat baca, waktu belajar dan hasil belajar siswa di SMP Negeri
1 Konawe Selatan, (2) Ada tidaknya pengaruh minat baca terhadap hasil belajar
IPA siswa SMP Negeri 1 Konawe Selatan, (3) Ada tidaknya pengaruh waktu
belajar terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa SMP Negeri 1 Konawe Selatan, (4) Ada
tidaknya pengaruh minat baca dan waktu belajar secara bersama-sama terhadap
hasil belajar IPA siswa SMP Negeri 1 Konawe Selatan. Penelitian ini merupakan
penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah
seluruh siswa kelas VII dan VIII sebanyak 308 siswa, sampel yang digunakan
pada penelitian ini yaitu sebanyak 76 sampel. Teknik pengumpulan data pada
penelitian ini menggunakan angket dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang
digunakan yaitu teknik analisis deskriptif: uji prasyarat (uji normalitas, uji
linearitas, uji multikolinearitas, dan uji heteroskedastisitas) dan uji hipotesis (uji
regresi linear berganda, uji t, uji F simultan dan uji koefisien determinasi). Hasil
penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Minat baca siswa SMP Negeri 1 Konawe
Selatan memiliki rata-rata sebesar 67,934, dengan kategori sedang, Waktu belajar
siswa SMP Negeri 1 Konawe Selatan memiliki rata-rata sebesar 63,158, dengan
kategori sedang, Hasil belajar IPA siswa SMP Negeri 1 Konawe Selatan memiliki
rata-rata sebesar 66,421 dengan kategori sedang, (2) Terdapat pengaruh minat
baca terhadap hasil belajar IPA dengan nilai signifikan 0,022<0,05, dengan
kontribusi sebesar 13,4%, (3) Terdapat pengaruh waktu belajar terhadap hasil
belajar IPA dengan nilai signifikan 0,039<0,05, dengan kontribusi sebesar 11,8%,
(4) Terdapat pengaruh minat baca dan waktu belajar secara bersama-sama
terhadap hasil belajar IPA dengan nilai Fhitung 12,227>Ftabel 3,12, dengan kontribusi
sebesar 25,2%.

The learning outcomes of SMP Negeri 1 Konawe Selatan are still not
optimal. This can be seen from the daily test scores in science subjects which do
not meet the minimum completeness criteria. In addition, students do not have
their own initiative to read and it is still found that some students are not effective
and efficient in utilizing study time. This study aims to determine: (1) reading
interest, study time and student learning outcomes at SMP Negeri 1 Konawe
Selatan, (2) whether there is an effect of reading interest on science learning
outcomes for students at SMP Negeri 1 Konawe Selatan, (3) whether there is an
effect study time on science learning outcomes at SMP Negeri 1 Konawe Selatan,
(4) whether there is an effect of reading interest and study time together on
science learning outcomes at SMP Negeri 1 Konawe Selatan. This research is a
quantitative research with a survey method. The population in this study were all
students of class VII and VIII as many as 308 students, the samples used in this
study were 76 samples. Data collection techniques in this study used
questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique used is descriptive
analysis technique: prerequisite test (normality test, linearity test, multicollinearity
test, and heteroscedasticity test) and hypothesis testing (multiple linear regression
test, t test, simultaneous F test and coefficient of determination test). The results
of the study show that: (1) Students' reading interest at SMP Negeri 1 Konawe
Selatan had an average of 67,934, in the medium category, students' study time at
SMP Negeri 1 Konawe Selatan had an average of 63,158, with the moderate
category, students' Science learning outcomes SMP Negeri 1 Konawe Selatan has
an average of 66.421 in the medium category, (2) There is an effect of reading
interest on science learning outcomes with a significant value of 0.022 <0.05, with
a contribution of 13.4%, (3) there is an effect of study time on science learning
outcomes with a significant value of 0.039 <0.05, with a contribution of 11.8%,
(4) there is an effect reading interest and study time together on science learning
outcomes with the value Fcount 12.227 > Ftable 3.12, with a contribution of 25.2%.
