Abstract

Nenti SID. 16010106033. Students` Perceptions of Social Media Use in Project�based Learning. Supervised by: Suhartini Syukri, S. Pd.I., S. Pd., M. Pd.
This qualitative study aims to determine students' perceptions of the use of social
media in the Syntax class. The participants of this study consisted of 19 students
from one of Islamic higher education in Kendari at English Education Class A
semester VI of the academic year 2017/2018. Qualitative data were analyzed with
student reflection. The results showed that students responded positively to the use of
social media in the Syntax class. Students also know the use of social media and the
benefits of social media which is very helpful for students in accessing material or
uploading material easily and being able to send assignments anytime and anywhere.
The use of social media in the Syntax class still has weaknesses, namely network
connections and lack of quotas. The results of this study imply that the use of social
media in the Syntax class is very helpful for students in completing assignments or
understanding Syntax subjects.
